I am going through a phase where I have to set some priorities and boundaries for my life. The purpose behind doing this is to value my life. To set these priorities, I should learn to give up my feelings that have become regrets and hurt. This is not enough; I have to trim my social circle, beliefs, and attitude towards my life. In this trimming, we leave behind those things that are unfavorable to our well-being and wellness. It's just like trimming your hair; you cut off the split, damaged hairs and let the healthy, fine hairs grow. It is difficult to let go of something that has become a part of us; this can be any relationship, habit, or thought. However, we must take this action solely to maintain our self-esteem.

I firmly believe that if someone harms you morally and emotionally, nature will retaliate against them. When? and how? It is not determined, but it will happen one day. We, as human beings, might do injustice, but the Lord of this universe will never let any tear of a heartbroken person go unanswered. So there is no use in wasting your energies seeking revenge; preserve them for doing the best in your life.

4. Stop Comparing Yourself.

No one’s life is perfect, and no one’s problem is small. Everyone is blessed differently. Everyone is tested according to their potential. There is a balance by nature if you are blessed in any aspect, but it might be possible the other person’s life lacks that part. So stop making comparisons because it creates doubts in your mind about your self-worth.

5. Leave Underestimating Yourself.

There are various dimensions to underestimate yourself.

  • We are sometimes unaware of our true personalities and see ourselves from the perspective of others. What they judge about us, we consider ourselves to be. And as a result, we give our control to other people. Your personality should not be determined by what others expect of you or how they perceive you. Rather It depends on how you see yourself.

  • Another way of underestimating yourself is to not recognize your potential and stick to the same person that you've always been. To excel in your life, you have to break out of your comfort zone and achieve the goals you are capable of.

  • Similarly, we tend to underestimate ourselves and believe that we cannot move on, especially when our pain is tied to our emotions and attachments. We think that we are not strong enough to overcome those feelings and let ourselves be hurt. It seems impossible to heal but it can be possible. A little courage and belief in yourself are enough to take a step forward just for the sake of self-worth.
